This was my worst experience in Austria. I wouldn’t recommend this place to families or anyone looking for friendly service. The host made us feel unwelcome, and they can only communicate properly in German. Beforehand, I called to ask about the price for the 75m2 1 bedroom appartement listing I found on booking.com, plus an extra bed for my 14 year old and the nightly charge for each dog. I was told it would be 200 euro per night including the teenager and extra bed, plus 10 euro per dog. She also said all her appartments have 2 beds. When we arrived, she made negative comments that my 14 year old daughter was too tall to count as a child, that we had a 4th person, a baby, and that the dog was drooling, though it was a very hot day. It felt like she thought I’d been dishonest when I asked about the price on the phone. The price wasn’t what she had quoted either. She put us in the 2 bedroom appartment for 145 euro per night, with the dog extra, and said it was for 4 persons. She said the 100 per night excluded a 45 euro cleaning fee. When I asked about the difference in a friendly way, she said there were 4 of us, even though two were a baby and a teenage child, and that we could leave if we wanted. It basically felt like she’d rather we went. I can’t tell whether there was dishonesty or just a miscommunication in English. Either way, the unwelcoming attitude and unprofessional handling left a bad vibe, far from what you expect in hospitality. I’ve stayed at several places in Tirol and Austria, and those were all outstanding experiences.
