The meals felt homemade, and there was one soup I ordered for dinner almost every time, though I can’t remember its name. It was so good. We stayed for about two weeks while we were there for the music festival, and everyone treated us like family. They made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was amazing too, and the whole place had a real homey feel. I miss you all and hope to visit again when I’m in Austria.

The food was really, really good. The rooms were lovely and nice and quiet, and it’s a friendly family-run place.

Breakfast was excellent, and they had some nice little extras in the evening. The house is welcoming and very well looked after. We only stayed one night but felt comfortable the whole time. A good choice if you’re visiting Altenburg Abbey or the surrounding area.

The three-course menu is more than affordable, and the food is excellent for a fair price. The owner was friendly too. I’d happily come back anytime.
