We've spent our winter ski holidays at Hotel Salzburger Hof in Zauchensee for 20 years, and the family-run feel and the people there are a big part of why we return. The staff are friendly, involved, and helpful, and really are the face of the hotel. The wellness area is fantastic, with a lot to offer and kept very clean. The food is good, though it used to be better, and they're flexible about allergies. Keeping staff in hotels and restaurants is hard these days, which makes delivering high service even more challenging. Salzburger Hof manages to meet that challenge.

I usually come here each year with friends for skiing, but in June I came back for four nights with my partner to hike. We had a fabulous holiday and can't wait to return. Both times of year, the hotel has been faultless, from the beautiful furnishings, location, food, attention to detail, and amenities to the wonderful staff. The family owners are so welcoming. Everyone on the team is fantastic: reception, chefs, waiting staff, bar staff, and cleaners. A special shout out to Elizabeth, who is absolutely fantastic at dealing with anything and everything. Thank you all!

Plan to bring snacks if you'll need them, as there's no supermarket nearby. Even so, we enjoyed our ski week so much that we're coming back next year. The hotel is right by the slopes, the staff are lovely, and the service is great. Our room was spacious and had everything to make us comfortable. We also enjoyed a great spa treatment, the food had plenty of variety, and a nanny looked after the children. Thanks, Diana.

I have worked here for five years and am totally satisfied. I hope our guests enjoy the hotel as much as I do. It's a very family-friendly place, with great food, lovely wines, and excellent skiing. The children's playroom helps make a family holiday fun for the kids too.
