The warm, family atmosphere made for a really great vacation, and Bernard, the owner, is so kind. The staff make a big difference too: everyone is smiling and ready to help. Rooms are always clean, breakfast is fresh and tasty, and the afternoon coffee and cakes are especially nice after skiing. Definitely recommend it.

We had a great time here. It's a really friendly place for families, and the sauna and pool area were very nice after a day of hiking.

I've been coming here for many years, back before websites. Even on my own, I never felt out of place. Bernhard makes a point of remembering his guests, even their names, and the other guests greet each other in their own languages, which gives the hotel a family feel. I chose half board and the food was amazing. Service isn't fast, as other reviews say, but you're on holiday, so just sit back and relax. After skiing, the jacuzzi and wellness area are a real plus. The rooms and shared areas are spotlessly clean and comfortable. When I travelled solo, the barbecue and music evening in the hut was a lovely way to meet other guests. Bernhard playing the accordion while everyone sings loudly is highly entertaining.

Although I never made it to the hotel on my first booking, I'll definitely visit in the future. I tested positive for COVID on the day I was due to arrive, two weeks after booking online, and had to cancel. They gave me a full refund even though their cancellation policy didn't require it. Thank you, your service is much appreciated! I finally stayed at Hotel Schartner in late March and had an awesome time. The place was spotless, everything was neatly arranged, and our room had everything we needed. We had half board and the food was great. My husband is vegan, and the staff were super helpful. The chef made special courses just for him with great care. Everyone was kind and went above and beyond to meet our needs. I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely return.
