Hotel Felleiten Hotel

The facilities were good and well kept. It’s a five-minute drive from the center, and we enjoyed our stay.

Our room was in the older part of the hotel, and it felt more like a B&B than a hotel room. I imagine the renovated, newer section is nice and fully equipped. The interior design overall is quite good, and the staff were really friendly. Everything was clean and tidy, and breakfast was okay.

We were in room #14, and I was told the rooms on the other side of the building are much better. This one was tiny, and getting to it meant going up a narrow little staircase boxed in by two doors. Someone using those stairs in the morning could easily wake you. The sliding bathroom door was heavy and barely worked. The location was good, with a 25-minute walk to the center of Gmunden, and the service was pleasant. Still, I was disappointed by the value for money.

Breakfast and the service were good, and the bathroom was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel. I was staying for work, and the room itself was great, with comfortable, attractive furniture. It may not suit anyone hoping to walk into the town center.
