The breakfast attendant was so kind and helpful, always paying attention to what guests needed. The breakfast itself was the same each day, though, and could use more variety for anyone staying several nights. My room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the receptionist made arrival and check-in easy with a really friendly welcome. I enjoyed my stay. A fridge in the room would have been useful for drinks or snacks.

Karin really makes this place special. The hotel has been refurbished recently and is in excellent shape, bright, very clean, and comfortable with a luxurious feel. For this price, I don’t think you’ll find a better option. I’d definitely recommend it.

We arrived in the middle of the night, and the staff held breakfast for us for an extra hour, which was so thoughtful. They were caring and nice throughout our stay, even during the pandemic. The room felt like a small apartment, and everything was clean, including the nice quality bathroom products. I’d definitely stay here again.

The staff are always the same friendly faces at reception, breakfast, and the bar. They remember your breakfast order, and they’re there to welcome you back or say goodbye when you head out, which makes the hotel feel safe and welcoming. Karen is a lovely host, always ready to help with anything, from travel advice to something in your room, and it’s clear she really cares about guests. I’ve spent a few weekends at Hotel Gurtler while travelling around Austria, and it’s been one of the friendliest hotels I’ve stayed in. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy, and everything is cleaned to a high standard each day. The bathrooms are clean, the showers work really well, and the WiFi is strong and easy to use. Breakfast is generous, with lots of choice. I’d happily return. Thanks to everyone at this lovely hotel.
