Haus Hochfeld

The road to the house runs through the forest and is so narrow that two cars can't pass. At times we worried the car might fall. The owner doesn't speak English, despite the listing saying someone speaks it very well. We were also told the closed door inside the apartment was off limits. After midnight at the end of the weekend, smoke came through from behind it and woke us. We rang the owner twice and called the emergency number when she didn't answer. They found the problem, and the police called her and came to the apartment. She refused to open the door. An officer then came to us and said she had been cooking in her apartment below ours. Before checkout time, while we were gathering our remaining belongings, she came into our apartment and searched through our things. She accused us of taking the apartment's hairdryer and demanded 50 euros for it, even though we explained that a previous guest may have swapped their own for hers. She said we'd left our own hairdryer. She also opened a toilet door from outside while my son was inside, and tried to look through my daughter's clothes bag. She accused us of taking one of her devices too, checked the TV remotes for batteries, and charged us 50 euros for the hairdryer. We weren't given an inventory of the house contents, and the way she searched our belongings violated our privacy.

Clean, friendly, and a good spot for a family.

The landlady was lovely and friendly. The apartment is spacious and quiet, with a great view.

Coming back to Tyrol is always a pleasure. The accommodation is clean and lovely, with a beautiful view.
