Kaiserhof Anif

The breakfast was really nicely done in a cozy alpine-style room, with organic products, juices, fresh bread, cheeses, spreads, smoothies, and sweet treats. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the views were beautiful. The room was very clean and pretty, with an incredibly comfortable bed. Even the hair dryer felt like a luxury! Parking and check-in were easy. It’s just outside Salzburg, handy for exploring the region or getting back on the highway the next morning. I’d happily return :)

We stopped for breakfast while waiting for our car to charge, though we weren’t staying at the hotel. The buffet itself wasn’t anything remarkable, but the staff were kind and very helpful to us as non-German speakers. We sat outside on a sunny, clear morning, and it was wonderfully relaxing. One of the best experiences of our European road trip.

The staff were fantastic and went above and beyond for our family of 12. Rooms were excellent and the food was awesome. We had dinner here on both Christmas Eve and Christmas, and each meal was tremendous. Breakfast was wonderful too, with great options and amazing juices. Fantastic hotel and team!

It’s a clean hotel, but nothing special, and it gets extremely warm in summer. We used to stop here because the EV charging was free in the early years, making it good value for a charging stop. There was never any announcement that free charging had ended. The chargers are still listed as free on ChargePoint, the app used to control them. The lot was full of Kaiserhof's Tesla vehicles that weren’t charging. When I politely asked reception if one could be moved, the discussion turned into being told to use the chargers out front, which are EXTREMELY expensive. We asked the owner if we could cancel since the stop no longer made sense for us, but the cancellation policy meant no, and he wouldn’t make an exception or offer compensation. To end the discussion, the owner threatened to contact the police if we left a bad review, saying we’d have trouble driving through Austria next time because the review would be 'fake'. After more than 10 visits, this isn’t customer service. On Google they appear to try to resolve issues, but in person we were left without help and met with major arrogance.
