The breakfast wasn’t great, the rooms are cramped, and the front desk staff were rude. The bike storage room is narrow too, so all the bikes have to be hung vertically, including electric ones.

All three of us enjoyed lunch outside. My burger and fries were good, and someone else had a large salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. Two of the wait staff spoke English and helped us with the German-only menus. There were plenty of bike racks at both the front and back of the patio, and we had a fabulous view of the river right in front of us.

The rooms have a typical Austrian style, and breakfast does too. The location is right beside the Danube cycle path, with a handy restaurant and terrace.

Our room had charming vaulted ceilings and was nice, though it got a bit hot at night. The location is hard to fault, and the small hotel had exactly the kind of experience we wanted. There’s a secure bike lockup for cyclists. Our group was late and couldn’t check in until 9:30, but the receptionist waited for us. The staff were very accommodating. I’d recommend it.

We rode the Donauradweg, so carrying our own gluten-free food wasn’t very convenient. Breakfast had an okay selection, but there was no gluten-free bread or pastry. More options for people who can’t eat gluten would make a big difference. Otherwise, it was very nice.
