Haus Leitner

The hosts were friendly and accommodating, and the place was generally clean and well equipped. I had expected the location to be a bit better, since the slope up from the lake is quite steep. Most disappointing was the advertised accessibility. There was an elevator and a walk-in shower, but the ramp into the accommodation was too steep. We couldn't use either balcony because of a drop of around 10 cm, and the screen door wouldn't close properly. The kitchen wasn't accessible either, as a cabinet blocked the sink. At the pool, the ramp comes straight out onto the lawn, so it's impossible to get around, and there's also a step between the pool and parking area. It's a shame, and I would have appreciated some kind of price reduction since the place wasn't really usable for me. I can't recommend it as wheelchair accessible.

The apartments are spacious and modern, and the view is great. The landlady is very nice, and our stay was pleasant. We had peace and quiet for the first few days, though with only five apartments in the house, your experience depends a lot on who else is staying there. It gets annoying when people park badly or take over the small pool from morning until night. The sauna costs extra, unfortunately, and we couldn't quite see why the garbage room was kept locked. Since the owner's mother lives in the house, you do feel a bit watched. The fly screens are on the outside, which means you can't close the shutters, and daylight gets into the bedroom very early. At least the church bells didn't wake us at 7 a.m., though we were already awake. The bread roll service was only so-so: every bag had the same kind of roll, even when we'd ordered different ones, and the baguette came with the same roll, four of them. The rolls were correspondingly expensive.

The four of us had plenty of room in the apartment, and the kids enjoyed it as much as we did. It was such a lovely place to unwind and recharge. Simply wonderful.

The owners were so warm and helpful. Everything was clean, neat, and very well looked after, which made for a lovely, relaxing holiday.
