We loved the balcony views, and the host was friendly and helpful. The house feels spacious even though it's relatively small, and the facilities are great. A car would be useful for a visit, though you can manage without one. Bad ausee is 30-40 minutes away on foot, maybe longer after beer and schnitzel. It's a scenic walk with plenty of benches. Taxis run on weekdays, but there’s no transport at all on weekends. Grundlsee is about a 30-minute walk if you want to swim or stroll around the lake. There are several bike hire centres nearby, but book ahead. Would recommend.
