The owner was kind, but the apartment had a moldy smell. The mattresses all dip in the middle and were uncomfortable, and the few feather pillows felt like there was hardly anything there. There were no blinds or blackout curtains either. When we asked for another toilet paper roll, we didn't get one and had to buy it ourselves. The shower curtain wasn't great, and the shower tray was slippery.

Bad Bleiberg is a very quiet village, with some good restaurants nearby. We stayed a few days last summer at Villa Crusca, an old school building now turned into two apartments. One has a really original design, and the owners and their family live upstairs. Adelina, who comes from Italy, was a very kind host. If you like staying in an authentic building, Villa Crusca is worth a try.
