Rogner Bad Blumau

The colorful, organic design makes Rogner Bad Blumau feel like somewhere out of a fairytale. Set among the rolling hills of Styria, Austria, this thermal spa is a living work of art, designed by the visionary artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. It’s much more than a spa resort.

The food was great, and the thermal water was warm and hot. Beautiful buildings and great service, too.

We had a wonderful time exploring the gorgeous hotel, and the spa was a relaxing place to spend time. My friend and I had an amazing vacation here. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with a balcony and a great view. We had some great food, too. I’d love to return!

We had a lot of fun looking around at all the colors, shapes, and architectural details. I love Hundertwasser's Architecture, so when I came for my holiday this year (21-06-25), I asked my Mum to visit with me. We weren't staying or using the Spa, just looking around, and the staff were fine with that. With such unusual architecture, I imagine they're used to visitors coming to look and take pictures. The place is colorful as soon as you arrive, but you only start to grasp how huge it is once you walk around. The grounds are vast, and there’s plenty of parking. Even though the Spa is so large, it doesn’t feel overcrowded, and the atmosphere is nice. The paths inside the Spa twist and turn, and even the toilets have mosaic tiles. There’s attention to detail everywhere you look. Models show the Spa and possible accommodation that could be built in the already expansive area. The pool is at the center, with spas and treatments around the sides and accommodation spread around it in different buildings. Prices seemed modest, neither expensive nor cheap. It looked like a lovely place to stay and relax.
