The lake view was unbeatable. We happened to be there during a full moon, and its reflection on the water shone into our room and woke us up. A truly unusual moment. The rooms were very basic, with no toiletries provided, and there were quite a few rules. Breakfast, on the other hand, was delicious, especially the bread and boiled eggs. We arrived before 7:00 AM, after the owner had already left, so we had to reach him by phone. He sounded strict, and communicating in English led to a few minor disagreements that took some patience. In person, though, he came across as shy, principled, and kind.

The house is very clean and tidy, with everything needed to feel comfortable, almost like being at home. There’s even a garage for the car. It’s well placed for visiting nearby natural and historical sights and other interesting spots. The hosts were really nice and interesting, and the home itself was both comfortable and beautiful. I recommend it!

A lovely spot to unwind for a few days, with Hallstatt close enough to visit.
