MyPlace Premium Apartments

A great fit for either a short or long stay. It felt like home away from home, and I'll be back. The airport bus stop is five minutes on foot, and St Stephan is a ten-minute walk. There are nice restaurants and bars nearby, including the highly recommended Spanish Lola, plus a supermarket downstairs. The staff were super friendly. I don't know what others expect or complain about, if you're after a 7 star hotel and service, go to Park Hayatt.

The location in Vienna is convenient, but this was one of my most disappointing stays. Wi-Fi was very slow and unreliable, not even good enough for video calls, so I had to go to a nearby café for a work Zoom meeting. The old, single-pane windows barely blocked any sound, and the street-facing room was noisy. I could clearly hear the garbage collection at 6 AM. The room had limited temperature control: cooling only, with no heating option even on cooler days. Shower water stayed lukewarm even at the highest setting. There were basic gaps in the kitchen too, like no exhaust hood over the stove or chopping board. Guests are told to run a portable fan so steam doesn't set off the smoke alarm, which feels inadequate for a "premium" property. There was a constant musty smell, like an old damp building. The curtains didn't close properly or keep out enough light for a dark, restful room. They also require a €250 security deposit at check-in, which seems high, or unnecessary altogether, given the property's overall condition. I wouldn't recommend staying unless significant improvements are made. Future guests should know about these issues and set realistic expectations.

Myplace should have more than 4.2 stars. For the price, it's a great choice if you're traveling with family, want a small kitchen, and need a centrally located hotel or apartment. The furnishings could use an update, but I didn't find that critical to the stay. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and the apartment was quiet. There are lots of steps, but there's an elevator. With my terrible knees, it was a bonus not having to climb four flights after a long day walking around the city. The staff responded promptly on WhatsApp and were helpful for a low-key traveler like me who didn't need much direction or support. We did ask them to arrange a taxi, though I might take my chances with taxis at the airport next time.

My parents and I spent New Year here and had such a lovely time. The hotel was beautiful, with plenty of space, and we found it comfortable too.
