We spent three nights in the apartment called Abschalten and really enjoyed it. There’s a full bedroom with a wardrobe, plus a kitchen, sitting area, and comfy couch. The washroom was clean and had hot water. Check-in is self-service through a keybox, and there’s a place to leave your luggage if you want to explore after checkout. It’s also handy for getting around: around 5-7 minutes on foot from Bad Ischl train station on Kruezplatz, close to plenty of shops, cafes, and eateries, and just a four-minute walk from the main convention hall. I can’t recommend these apartments enough if you’re visiting Bad Ischl.

The room was clean, but a lot of little things were overlooked and affected the stay. Streetlight came through the thin curtains and left the room bright, making it hard for me to sleep. The body wash was nearly empty and hadn’t been refilled, and the kitchen dishes weren’t properly washed.

I had the second-floor "Abschalten" apartment with a balcony during the Kaiser Days. It’s spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and everything you need, and the owners are extremely helpful and friendly. The central location is perfect, with the spa gardens a three-minute walk away and the Esplanade five minutes away. Key boxes make check-in and checkout easy, and there’s a luggage room too. I’d definitely return.

The owners were really nice, and we were very happy with the apartment. Its central spot made quick shopping trips and longer outings around town easy. If we’re back in Bad Ischl, we’ll book here again.

It’s right in the center, and the landlords are great. The street can be noisy, though it gets much quieter at night. I’d come back.
