Alpenlandhof

The apartments felt spacious and were very clean, even if the style isn't modern. Breakfast was excellent, and the friendly staff made our time in Bad feel easy and carefree. Ms. Corinna helped us with all the information we needed. We'd definitely come back.

It's right in the town centre, but the spot itself is quiet, on a dead-end street. The rooms are roomy, though I expected at least an oven or microwave in the kitchen. At night, something that seemed to be a freezer or refrigerator kept switching on and off above where we slept, waking me more than once. I booked through the Alpenlandhof website, where the news section clearly said the "Kärntencard" was included free during the stay. They refused to give it to me. The desk host was rather unfriendly, and Mrs Juri, the boss, was unfriendly too.

We had a really nice stay. The apartment was spacious, and the balcony had a beautiful view. The thermal spa and ski lift were both close by.

The staff were kind and attentive, and the spacious suites seem well suited to families. It was also a handy base for visiting points of interest within a reasonable distance, with each one no more than 1 hour away.
