We had a really good time here. Great location and wonderful hosts.

We felt completely at ease during our two weeks here over Christmas and New Year’s. Sandra was a warm, welcoming landlady who was always available for questions, and we’d love to come back. The apartment had everything the four of us needed, including towels, bed linen, dish soap, hand soap, and toilet paper, all things you often have to bring yourself elsewhere. For skiing, the location was perfect: about 50 meters from the slope, with the option to ski right back to the house. We could keep our skis and boots in the ski cellar. The farm’s chickens kept us supplied with fresh eggs, and we also enjoyed Sandra’s homegrown sprouts. There were regional products to buy on site, including jam, elderflower syrup, and chutney. The children loved seeing three calves born during our stay. On Christmas Eve, a small plate of treats appeared at our door, and on New Year’s Eve Sandra gave us a little bag with fun headbands, funny glasses, streamers, and chocolate. Thank you!

The Ottingerhof was a real paradise for families, and we adults got to relax in the idyllic Carinthian countryside. The host family were incredibly friendly and helpful, always happy to chat, and you can tell they put a lot of heart into the farm. We’ll definitely return. The children were delighted by the animals, including donkeys, horses, goats, and a pig they could pet. They visited them every day. Fresh eggs from the hens each morning were a treat for the kids, too. Riding on the tractor with Sandi was a special highlight for everyone, not just the children. We felt at home from the warm welcome. The apartment was comfortable, lovingly decorated, clean, and had everything we needed.

We spent a relaxing week at Ottingerhof with three families and children aged 0-5. The hosts were accommodating and very helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Each apartment has its own balcony, which is worth mentioning. Thanks, Sandra and Elfi, for such a lovely time. See you next time! The children had plenty to play with. There were toys, swings, and a trampoline by the parking area, plus a seating corner where we often had breakfast together. Behind the house, the garden had a spacious playground with a water feature, pond, and more toys. There’s also a barbecue area where we enjoyed the summer evenings. During the day, we visited nearby lakes or took the gondola up the mountain. Highly recommended!
