A modern, functional place that works well for sporty guests. The common area and bar have a modern look and plenty of seats, and there's convenient ski storage. The underground garage is handy, though it costs extra. Two different ski areas and lifts are 3 minutes away. There's also a spa 300m from the hotel, though we didn't try it. I only had breakfast there, but pizzas and other things are available, and there's a bar for drinks. The staff were always helpful and smiling. The receptionist even waited after her shift to let us in, checked us in after 11pm, and showed us around, though she didn't have to. Thank you! The sauna was great, big and hot, with nice steam, lights, and aroma. It also has a resting area, water, and a gym. Sauna towels cost an extra 5 Euros and you have to get them at reception. Breakfast had a range of cold cuts, yoghurts, mueslis, good bread, teas, and juices. You can cook your own eggs or pancakes, which was fun and practical. The rooms are basic but clean, with enough outlets, a hairdryer, and towels. There was no shampoo, the double bed had two separate mattresses, and there were no glasses even though we were given some. We didn't eat or drink at the hotel apart from breakfast. For improvement, shampoo in the bathroom, one mattress for the double bed, a small fridge, and a water boiler in the rooms would make a difference. There's a coffee machine downstairs that takes a card, but it's not the same as having coffee in the room. Sauna towels included in the stay would help too.

The rooms and location are great for skiing, and the ski room is excellent, with a washer and dryer. There's free parking around the hotel. The rooms are set up for 2 people, with a pull-out bed for a third.

There's a small river behind the hotel, and its soothing sound can lull you to sleep. The location is quiet and close to all the main attractions. We really liked the place. It's a budget-friendly hotel, but the service was top-notch, much better than I expected. It's very family-friendly, with a focus on exploring nature and biking. The rooms aren't very big, but they're clean and have everything you need. Breakfast offered plenty of healthy options and a couple of unusual touches, like taking a pan and making your own omelette.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a station where you could make your own omelet and choose whether to soft, medium, or hard boil your eggs. That was a rarity and made breakfast more fun. The bike station inside the hotel is also a nice extra for anyone biking in the area who needs to make repairs. We didn't use the wellness area. We had a great stay at Explorer Hotel in Bad Kleinkirchheim, Austria. The modern, minimalist feel suited a comfortable, laid-back visit. Our room was spacious and clean, designed for relaxing, and had everything we needed.
