The two-bedroom apartment worked well for a family, and the child-friendly extras we paid for, a baby bathtub, high chair, and play equipment, were appreciated in theory. But the cleanliness fell short, there was only one parking space, and with no elevator we had to carry all our luggage upstairs, which is awkward with small children. Basic supplies were missing: no salt or pepper, hand soap, or more than one toilet paper roll. Each person got one towel, and an extra set, one large and one small face towel, cost €12.50. The fireplace had no wood supplied. We had to buy it for €7.50–€10, but the pieces were too big to get a proper fire going, so we also bought fire starters and matches. At checkout we were told to strip the beds, take out the rubbish, tidy the floors, and wash and put away the dishes. We had to check out by 10:30 a.m. and go to reception in person during its working hours to settle payment. With small children and a bill of over €300 a night, being expected to do all those chores seems unreasonable. It left me wondering what the price actually includes. Next time, at this cost and effort, I’d choose a hotel where the service, comfort, and basics are included and it feels like a holiday.

We’ve been coming to Bad Kleinkirchheim for a few years, but this has been our worst apartment rental. There’s no hand soap in the bathrooms, and towels aren’t included, they charge 13€ per person to rent them. They expect six people to get through a whole week with just two rolls of toilet paper. There were no kitchen towels, and we got only two trash bags for the week. Each apartment gets one parking spot, while others in the area offer two. I’d strongly recommend another apartment nearby and avoiding this company.

It’s an empty apartment for the price, with too little parking. You have to make the beds yourself, and there are no towels, soap, or even toilet paper. Not recommended.

We’ve come to expect no towels from earlier visits, but our friends were shocked. They couldn’t believe we paid more than 600€ a night and still had none of the ordinary essentials: soap, kitchen towels, garbage bags, sauna supplies, or firewood. On arrival we couldn’t even wash our hands or light the fireplace, and the markets were already closed. This could have been a five-star stay, but those missing basics brought it down to three. We’d gladly have paid the maybe 10-15 Euros it would cost to include them. Instead of relaxing in a lovely house, we spent time figuring out where to get things, making five market trips in three days and spending no more than 20€ altogether. We booked a house on the slopes so we wouldn’t need the cars, but ended up using them once or twice every day for shopping. It makes no sense, and it’s a really bad policy.
