Breakfast was a real strong point, with good quality food and some vegan and vegetarian choices. I liked the oats, which you could mix with fresh or dried fruit and nuts. I only booked breakfast, so can’t comment on dinner. It’s a small family-run hotel a few minutes uphill from the main street, and it’s peaceful and quiet at night. The staff were genuinely warm, kind, polite, and welcoming. I’d stay again.

The rooms were very large, clean, quiet, and comfortable, with good beds. We had a ground-floor room facing the yard in front of our terrace. The hosts were kind, service was professional, and the mountain views were stunning. Dinner was astonishing, and the spa area was quite good. We came with our 8 years old daughter. Terme St. Kathrin is very close, with pools that are great for kids, and the hotel gives a gift card for discounts. Walking back uphill in ski boots after skiing can be an extra workout.

We saved hundreds of euros on entry fees with the Kärnten card included in the stay, using it at places like Pyramidenkogel, Mölltaler Gletscher, Gerlitze Höhe and other highlights. The dinners are the real standout: a generous 4-course meal that felt like something from an upscale city restaurant, at a fraction of the price. Breakfast was very nice too. The hotel is quiet on the slope above the main road, with lovely mountain views, and fee parking right outside. Everything was 100% clean and well maintained, and you can tell the owners work hard to keep it cozy and tidy. It’s easily my first choice when I return to Kärnten. Best wishes to Huber Family!

Don’t think you’ve tried everything until you’ve eaten here. Make sure to book dinner too, that’s how to enjoy the hotel and its lovely owners. We had a fantastic stay. And yes, I agree with the other reviewers here.
