The staff were very friendly, and the food was plentiful and very good. The chair lift is a 400 m walk, though there's a free shuttle for anyone who can't or doesn't want to walk. The cross-country trails start across the street. We took off a star because the room stayed too warm at night with no thermostat to adjust it, and passing traffic was clearly audible even with the windows shut.

A great fit for a family ski holiday. The hotel is small, the service is great, and the food is excellent. Our cozy room was cleaned perfectly each day. The panoramic-view sauna is free, and a free shuttle runs from the hotel door to the Tauplitz ski lift.

We stayed two nights and were delighted. The staff were accommodating, the almtaxi driver was lovely, and dinner was delicious. They also spotted an Expedia error and cut my price almost in half at checkout. I'd happily recommend it and will definitely return.
