Pension Strolz

We didn’t stay at the hotel, so this is only about the booking experience. We were travelling and booked through AirBnB, then waited half a day without a confirmation. When I called, I learned there were no available places for our dates, which threw off our plans to visit Austria. I asked them to decline the request and update the dates on AirBnB, but they left it pending for the full 24-hour limit until AirBnB declined it automatically. Those dates still showed as available there, which was really disappointing. Why keep an AirBnB account if it isn’t being used properly? Appartement STROLZ, please remove the account so other travellers aren’t misled.

We’ve spent many, many years here for our winter sports holidays. Hern und Frau Strolz have watched us grow from children into adults, so we have lots of warm memories. They’re lovely, friendly people, and it’s an excellent hotel.

The service went far beyond what we expected. We had an amazing stay, thank you!

The bread delivery was a real bonus. We could order different rolls for the next morning, delivered to the door by 7:30, and they were delicious and fairly priced, for example €0.50 for a Kaiser roll and €1.20 for a pretzel. Nearby attractions were only a short drive away, too. Everything ran smoothly from booking on the website through check-in and check-out. The apartment was furnished to a high standard, and the kitchen had all sorts of useful things, like a kettle, coffee maker, and Nespresso machine. The host was available on WhatsApp even outside regular hours and shared excursion ideas when we arrived. Many thanks to him. We’d gladly stay again. Absolutely recommend it, five stars well deserved!
