Everything seemed fine until the bill. The server had told us the fries were included, but then we were charged for them. We got an apology, but nothing more. Mistakes happen, though I wish they’d simply taken the fries off the bill.

We booked the whole hotel for a week for an organized group of 49 on a half-board basis, expecting a wonderful stay after reading the glowing reviews. Before arriving, we agreed on dinner times with the hotel, then emailed and called again on the day we arrived. But after check-in, the restaurant told our tour leader we were “too late” and wouldn’t get dinner. It took a long discussion before the group got pizzas. Dinner times kept changing and didn’t match what had been booked or promised. The owner was visiting at the time but showed no interest and did nothing to resolve it. The group had to cut skiing short and get back sooner because the restaurant insisted on its own schedule. Before our last day, the hotel finally admitted it had got the times wrong, but offered no apology or compensation. The menu was also mundane, mostly pasta on many days, and housekeeping barely happened: the trash was taken out only once during the week. What matters most is how guests are treated, whether communication works and whether you feel welcome. Modern furniture doesn’t make up for that. The holiday was ruined for all 49 of us. We sincerely don’t recommend this hotel.

The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed, and the staff were really polite. We called to say we’d arrive after the usual check-in hours, and it wasn’t a problem at all. Everything was arranged for when we got there. Great hotel, and I’ll visit again if I come back to Austria 🙂

BEDBUGS! We stayed at the hotel at the beginning of December 2025. At first it looked nice and the owner was kind, but on our third day my husband found bedbugs near the bed. We called the manager right away. They confirmed it and offered another room, which we refused because we no longer wanted to stay there. We tried to stay calm, and nobody had been bitten at that point. Once home, we washed everything and put anything that couldn’t be washed in the freezer. On the fifth day, my husband developed huge bites. We later learned that a first reaction to bites can take several days to show up. We were horrified. We’d been in that room with our one-year-old baby and were terrified of when the bites might appear on his body. We couldn’t tell if we’d brought a bedbug home or if this was just a delayed reaction, but to be safe we called a pest control service. We weren’t allowed to stay in our apartment with the baby for the next 24 hours, so we had to book another hotel. The whole thing was extremely frustrating. We asked the hotel to reimburse the pest control and hotel costs, about 600 EUR, but were told their insurance wouldn’t cover those expenses and that this was simply one of the risks of traveling.
