There were so many memorable tastes, and a huge thank you to everyone who made the stay special. The fresh rye bread for two was delicious! One staff member suggested visiting the Milka Museum in Bludenz on our way home. It was the best suggestion ever. The cuisine was exquisite, and the venue and facilities were beautiful. The passionate, dedicated staff were professional and friendly, with attention to every detail. The postcards in the hallway get changed around, and the serving dishes are swapped to keep guests on their toes. K9 guests get fresh water, and dish rags are left out for cleaning windows. Gowns, towels, and swimming towels are provided. The sauna, pools, jacuzzi, most walking trails, and bus pass are included. Bikes, skiing, horse rides, spa treatments, and the restaurant cost extra, but are worth it. There’s something for every interest. The hotel supports local producers, and we also stopped at the 24-hour bio shop on the same street on our way out.

The wellness area was good, especially the outdoor sauna, which is small but really nice. The pool felt a bit too cold for us, and the corridors leading to the sauna are confusing. The rooms are showing their age. Service wasn’t great, since you had to ask for everything, even the wine list. Breakfast was good, nothing to complain about. Dinner was quite simple and nothing special. The schnitzels came from a hairdresser, and I’m a chef myself, so I can judge that. Regards, Torsten

Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of delicious options, and the half board was delicious too. The room was spacious, spotless, and nicely decorated, with a stunning mountain view. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the complimentary chocolates and bottled water were a lovely extra. From the moment I arrived at Hotel Walliserhof, the staff made me feel welcome and took care of every detail. I had an absolutely amazing stay and can’t wait to return.

The hotel sits between the two lift stations, and the ski bus stops right outside. I also loved the wine collection, especially the strong selection of Austrian wines across grape varieties and bottle sizes. It’s an affordable wine safari for anyone who loves wine. Some of the recent negative reviews are hard for me to understand. The hotel isn’t new, so parts of the decor look a bit dated, but everything is still clean and comfortable. You can ask for a coffee machine in your room. The large spa has a jacuzzi and a small swimming pool, which is great with children. The half-board plan brings a different multi-course dinner each evening, with a vegan option. On Thursday there’s a set six-course “gala-diner”, though you can choose fondue instead. The food is good and creative, and the portions aren’t huge, which we like. You can ask for seconds. Breakfast runs until 11am, with a huge choice, and they’ll wrap rolls for you to take for lunch on the hill or slopes. Service is friendly and relaxed.

Breakfast is always a highlight for us, with a delicious buffet and so many options. We spend hours in the spa each time and never tire of the view or the sauna on the hill. We love coming here for a wellness getaway. It’s a two-hour drive from Zurich, and worth it every time. We always choose the smaller rooms in the older building, and they’re consistently clean, cute, and comfortable. The staff are kind and accommodating throughout. We come regularly and plan to keep doing so!
