IMLAUER Palais Mirabell

The breakfast was a highlight, and the hotel service was excellent. During the Christmas markets, we found the location ideal. It was about a ten-minute walk from the Old Town, which suited us since we didn’t want to pay for a boutique hotel right in its heart. There’s a bus stop right outside, and the concierge gave us a free tourist bus pass, so getting around was easy. The main Christmas market was one bus stop away, or a scenic walk over an arched footbridge across the river. Nearby are the train station, a beautiful park, a small intimate Christmas market, an Irish pub, a bank, and a drug store. If we’re back in Salzburg, we’ll book here again.

The rooms were clean, pleasant, and quiet, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby as well as a convenience store. It’s an easy walk to the Old Town. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous, and the location is very convenient. They give you free public transport tickets, with a bus stop right outside. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was the most complete I’ve had in all my frequent trips around Europe, and the staff were incredible. Special thanks to Zoe, who was so kind to my family and me and helped us book a last hour tour to Hallstaat. The hotel is centrally placed in Salzburg, meters from Mirabellgarten and within walking distance of the fortress and Main Street. As a frequent traveler, I couldn’t be more satisfied. I’ll definitely stay here next time I’m in Salzburg.

Breakfast was our favorite part, with loads of choices, including local, family-made apple juices. We had three rooms, each with twin beds. The hotel is across from two transportation stops and close to Mirabell Palace and Gardens, with the river just a quick walk away. There’s a laundry place down the road where you can use the machines yourself or pay to have it done. We absolutely loved our stay. Do yourself a favor and stop comparing hotels in Salzburg, book this one!
