Alpenhotel Ernberg

The staff were lovely and friendly, and both the food and our accommodation were great. We stayed for two nights.

The restaurant is well worth a dinner visit, with Austrian cooking given a modern twist. We stayed here in April 2025 with our two kids while visiting Neuschwanstein castle. The rooms were quiet and clean, and the staff were kind. The two-level kids' room setup was awesome. Highly recommended.

After a hike, the six of us women ate here. The place has an old-style Austrian Alpine feel, but I can’t recommend eating here. The food was only okay for us because we were so hungry; otherwise I would have sent it back. Two plates had hair on them, and the bread was stale with dried-out slices. Four of the six glasses were dirty, so we had to return them and get fresh drinks. Portions were fine, but the food quality was bare minimum. Please see the images.

The receptionist was kind, always greeted people with a warm smile, and even let me check out late. My stay in Reutte was memorable. The hotel is on Plansee street, surrounded by greenery and the Alps. My room was clean and cozy, with a lovely view of the snowy mountains from the window. The bathroom had a nicely designed glass-door shower area and warm flooring. The bed was a little small but manageable. Most rooms are upstairs, so you need to carry your own luggage up the stairs. There’s a bar-cafe on the ground floor, while complimentary breakfast is served at their other hotel, the Moserhof, just 50 Meters away along the same road.
