Landhaus Schermer

We got around without a car, which was a bonus since local buses and trains were included with the local tax. The walk into Brixen is along a pavement, and the main road people mention didn’t bother us. Our apartment was spacious and beautiful, with three double or twin bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a private sauna. There’s also a shared sauna, pool table, small gym with a great treadmill, and a lovely outdoor pool for hot days. The hosts were super friendly and knew the area well.

After skiing, we loved relaxing in the sauna. Alpenrose was a really nice, spacious, clean apartment for our three-night stay. Definitely recommended!

Our group of eight from London spent five nights at Landhaus Schermer over Easter in 2016, hoping to catch the end of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser season. We had a fantastic time and would come back. Alpen Rose had plenty of room for all eight adults and mountain views on both sides. We felt the website photos undersold it, and it was excellent value. The easy, flat walk to the gondola took a little over ten minutes, with a large Spar on the way. We used lockers under the lift, though Landhaus Schermer also has a heated ski and boot room downstairs beside the sauna and relaxation room. SkiWelt had plenty of good runs to keep us occupied for five days, with excellent lifts and equipment. Erika and Rennie went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They helped us get past the language barrier when booking taxis and dinner, and even left Easter eggs outside our door one morning.

We stayed for 12 days in summer with our four kids in the Kitzbuhler Horn appartment. The garden was great for enjoying warm days with the children, and the place was well positioned for nearby activities. Our rooms were clean and the staff were wonderful, doing what they could to make the stay go smoothly.
