We were comfortable in the room, and the mattresses were good. Dinner was good, too. The walk to the valley station takes about 10-15 minutes. At breakfast, extra items like honey or soft cheese had to be requested. Some raw vegetables, such as cucumber or bell pepper, would have been nice. We shared a table with other hotel guests. The showers in the sauna area and the bathroom fixtures and fan could use some maintenance or repair. A solid place for a few days.

We were five French guests in the apartments next door, and we felt the cost was much too high for what was provided. There were a lot of drawbacks: arrival and departure times were inflexible, with departure required by 9:00 AM at the latest; we had to remove our shoes to reach the apartment; amenities were lacking; and the layout wasn’t good. I wouldn’t recommend these apartments.

It feels as cozy as eating with your own family at home. Both breakfast and dinner are excellent in quality and taste, and still absolutely affordable!

We’ve been staying at Madlener's for several years, and Mrs. Madlener really puts her heart into being a hostess. You feel at home in the warm, open atmosphere, and the rooms are beautiful and comfortably furnished. Everything throughout the house is kept very clean. We always look forward to the fresh fruit salad at breakfast. Dinner is a generous three-course meal, beautifully presented and delicious every time.
