We stopped at the Leitner Inn for dinner after walking through the gorge. Since it was game and fish season, the menu was small and thoughtfully chosen. Everything tasted delicious, and the care put into the cooking really came through. It’s family-run and well worth a visit. Be sure to book ahead!

We really enjoyed our New Year’s stay at Gasthof Leitner. The sauna was a big bonus, and getting to Tauplitzalm for skiing took about fifteen minutes. The owner clearly puts his heart into the place and cares about guests feeling comfortable. Our accommodation was pleasant, clean and attractive, and the food was a welcome surprise, excellent and hearty. We’d happily recommend a stay here.

The setting may seem modest, but the food is a real surprise. Instead of the ordinary traditional inn fare you might expect, there’s delicious regional cooking with a more refined touch. It looks as good as it tastes. We really recommend it!

There’s a nice meadow behind the inn with lots of play equipment for kids, and you can get to the Donnersbach Gorge from there too. We spent the night in our campervan and had a very tasty dinner. The owner was friendly, and the cooking was outstanding.

It’s a lovely farm in a peaceful spot, with lots of ways for children to play. The rooms are very easy to hear through, though. The playhouse also needs attention, with quite a few things needing repair or renovation.
