The breakfast had some lovely local choices, and the view was fantastic. We loved staying here, especially in those amazing rooms.

Donnersbachwald sits in gorgeous countryside, with hiking and a peaceful break right on hand. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. It’s a wonderful guesthouse, run with real care, and I’d highly recommend it.

We came away having had a much better stay than we expected. Pius was so warm and friendly, even picking us up from the train station and taking us to an alpine pasture. It’s an ideal place to relax. We also had dinner next door at the family hotel, where the price was fair.

The family room worked really well for us, with a separate bedroom and convenient sleeping arrangements. Breakfast was superb, and they offered scrambled or fried eggs if you asked. Everyone was welcoming, and both the service and facilities were excellent. We’d gladly stay again.
