We got drinks and took in the beautiful interior design. The place feels lovely inside, with a wonderful atmosphere, excellent service and a superb location. I won’t forget it.

The food was truly awful. Half the already short menu wasn’t available, and there was plastic floating in our goulash soup. When we pointed it out, they offered a replacement but didn’t apologize. The fries were unevenly salted, with some tasting almost plain and others like salty chips. The fried chicken and cordon bleu both had a strange aftertaste, and the microwave running constantly didn’t inspire confidence. When we said honestly that we’d expected more, the staff stopped being friendly. There was no apology or anything. Definitely not recommended.

We can’t say anything about the holiday apartment, but the stable left us with a completely negative impression. It was messy and untidy, and the coffee was so bad I had to leave it. We stopped at the Schaupphof farm during a hike in June 2025 for a drink in the adjacent stable. The older waitress greeted us fairly politely. Her shorts and top surprised us while she was serving, though I suppose that’s a matter of taste. We ordered a shandy and a coffee, and I’ve never had coffee that awful. You can’t get away with serving swill like that. Not even worth one star.
