The bathroom was good, but I’d rate this closer to a 3-star hotel than a 4-star one. The rooms are suitable for one or two people, though the double bed was odd, with a noticeable gap between the mattresses. The A.C works in a way that lets you lower the temperature by only 2 degrees at a time, which could be a bit uncomfortable in summer. Parking can be tricky because the hotel provides very few free spaces, although other parking options are within walking distance. The WiFi connects, but the signal is almost zero and unstable.

The buffet breakfasts were generous and varied, with sausage, eggs, bacon, sweets, fruit and more. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and everything was very clean. My stay at the standard katherinenhof was very satisfactory for the quality and price, with very spacious rooms and a bathroom with a bathtub. If I return to Dornbirn, this would be my first choice. Highly recommended.

The apartment was attractive, with two bedrooms, a living room and a balcony. We stayed in an older building, and there were no major issues apart from the wooden floors, which creaked like crazy. If you got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, you could wake everyone. Still, I really enjoyed the place, and it’s so close to the city center that we could get around on foot without using the car. The hotel has three buildings. I think the new one is the comfort building and the other two are the standard ones.

This is an excellent 4-star place that opened in May 2017 alongside the standard 3-star hotel. The decor is amazing, and every room has air conditioning. We had a very pleasant stay and recommend it to anyone.
