Winklerhof Ebbs

With its wide views over the surrounding area, this is a great starting point for local outings, including Fohlenhof Ebbs and the nearby lakes. The house sits above the village among cow pastures. Our host was very friendly, breakfast was good, and the rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean.

The peaceful setting was lovely, apart from one thing: we stayed in room 4 beside another family's apartment, and their children were very noisy early in the morning. That disrupted the quiet winter farm break we wanted, though it's not something the host can control. Otherwise, we had a wonderful short stay. The rooms were clean and had what we needed, breakfast was included and generous, and they accommodated special requests. Farm cats greeted us at the windows in the morning. Our host was kind, checked that we were doing well, and was happy to chat or share tips about the area after breakfast. The place is a little tucked away, so outside was mostly quiet, with just the wind and a few cowbells. One tip: asking through their website gets a quick reply and can save quite a bit per night.

Even though we were setting off at 5:30, the friendly hosts gave us a full breakfast. We were actually on our way to the Baltic Sea. The place is a little out of the way, but wonderfully peaceful.

We felt right at home at the Winklerhof and would gladly have returned, but sadly we were their last guests. Wishing them good health, all the best for retirement, and a wonderful time ahead.
