I'm reviewing only the Vinothek. For the best wines, this is the place to come: the shop is full of top-quality wines from the region. When I visited, the manager on duty happily talked us through four Sauvignon Blanc tastes, and the food other tasters had looked great. There's also a big wine store five minutes away with more low- to mid-priced choices.

The views were nice and the pool lovely. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were fantastic every time. Table service could be quite slow, though, and getting drinks from the bar took even longer.

The food was extremely good, from breakfast through dinner. But check-out felt uncaring. It seemed like once you'd received the money, you didn't care anymore. I've received a little goodbye gift at every hotel I've stayed at, even just a small chocolate, and there wasn't one here. I was disappointed. I'd like to come back, but please show a little more care.

The pool overlooking the vineyard was spectacular, and I'm already looking forward to returning. I was extremely impressed by the LOISIUM hotel and its staff. As a seasoned traveller, I found everything I needed for a weekend stay. The food was top quality, the staff provided excellent service, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel didn't go unnoticed.

The rooms are generous and lovely, and we really enjoyed both the breakfast buffet and the restaurant. Set among the South-Styrian vineyards, this is an idyllic spa. The free e-bike hire service is fantastic, so take a ride through the surrounding countryside. The only thing we were missing was a phone charger. We forgot ours and asked reception to borrow one, but they didn't have any. It would have been such an easy, much-appreciated thing to offer guests.
