Ferienhaus Antonia

Antonia is a large house in a beautiful setting, with Zugspitze and Wetterstein nearby. We stayed a few days in July, and even in the heat our room stayed comfortable without air conditioning. The apartments have a seventies-style interior that we really liked, and ours was clean and equipped with what we needed. Every room has its own kitchen, and there's a shared storage room with extras like a microwave, hair dryer, and toaster that you can borrow. We had plenty of privacy when we were at home. Ms. Wimmer was kind and helpful, doing what she could to make us comfortable. Just keep in mind this isn't a hotel. Guests are expected to look after themselves, clean their own room and kitchen, sort their rubbish, and take it to the storage room beside the house. You can order rolls or bread from the owner for breakfast, except Sundays, when a bakery is open in the morning. She can also do laundry for 6 euro, as it cost in July 2017, and return it the next day.

A traditional Austrian apartment with a lovely view and a sunny ground-floor terrace. It's a great base in Ehrwald for setting off on hikes.

The furnishings feel a little dated, but everything is clean and works well. There was plenty of room for the four of us, plus free Wi-Fi and a huge TV. The amenities were good overall, though we couldn't find a can opener and got by with a pocketknife. The landlady was very friendly. It's quiet, with the Sonnenhang cable car and ski bus stop right next to each other, 250 to 300 meters away. A large Spar supermarket is walkable, too. There was no bread delivery because of the coronavirus pandemic. Great value for the money.

The apartments are decent and a little dated, but everything you need is there and works. The price feels fair, and the service was very friendly.
