Haus Sieben Zwerge

Everything was top-notch at this wonderful place. The landlady was very helpful, and I highly recommend staying here.

We’ve been twice now and were completely happy both times. The hosts are always helpful and easy to reach, and the house is quiet but close to the train station, so arriving by rail is simple. There are plenty of good restaurants within a 5-20 minute walk. Both apartments were spotless, modern but cozy, and had their own small sauna. We stayed in "Gipfelzwerge" upstairs in 2023 and "Gartenzwerge" on the ground floor this year. The kitchens are very well equipped, even with things like dishwasher tablets and coffee filters provided, and the mattresses are good quality and firm. You can arrange bread delivery from a local bakery, which makes it easy to settle into your holiday right away. The upstairs balcony has a particularly wonderful view of the mountain peaks, while the ground-floor apartment’s private garden area makes it great for families. We’d happily recommend these apartments.

The large balcony was a lovely spot for breakfast or enjoying the evening, with a fantastic view across the valley to Sonnenspitze and the surrounding mountains. We spent a relaxing week in June in the quiet upper-floor Rosenrot holiday apartment. It has been fully renovated with stylish furnishings and lovely attention to detail, using beautiful wood and anthracite-colored tiles. Everything you could need is provided, and there’s a sauna in the living area that you can use for a fee. Ehrwald is a great base for excursions. We especially recommend the hike to Seebensee, starting at the Ehrwalder Almbahn cable car for a relaxed but varied walk with stunning lake and mountain views. The Three Lakes Tour near Bieberwier is another of our favorite hikes. Many thanks to Markus, our host. We’d love to come back.

We spent most afternoons on the garden bench with our snacks, though there’s a large table out there too. The apartment was spacious and beautifully set up, and the garden was lovely. Everything was top-notch, especially for the price. We’d happily return.
