JUFA Hotel Eisenerz

We stayed four wonderful nights for a ski trip. The place is really good for families with kids, and the staff are nice. We had clean rooms, and even got a bigger one for the same price. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and having three saunas included was a nice extra. The only downside was that the meal order was set in advance. We were lucky to get a table right beside the kids’ corner.

The hotel is close to nature and made our family stay comfortable. We could bring our dog, the skiing was enjoyable, and there’s a ski runners’ track right next to the hotel. We drove 20-30 minutes to the ski school at Präbichl. If we come back, we’d stay here again. The village below has shops and a good petrol station, which is handy for travel. We stayed two nights with our two children and dog. The staff were attentive, helpful, and polite. There’s an indoor playroom by the dining tables, which is great for families, plus an outdoor playground right in front. Reserving tables worked quite well. Parking is spacious, though it would be nice to park by the hotel to load and unload bags. The interior design has a nice, cozy feel, and all the facilities look new. The sauna complex is quite good. A pool would have completed all our travel dreams for this trip. Despite the -7C freezing weather outside, we had no problems and even needed to open the window quite often. The snow-covered mountain view from the window was beautiful. The children loved the two-level room, though we parents worried one of them might fall while going to the toilet at night. Some pilot night lights on the stair would be useful. Having two toilets in the room was a plus. There was German TV. Breakfast and dinner were fresh, tasty, and good quality. The selection wasn’t as big as in business hotels, but it was still interesting, and the price and offer were good value. The coffee was good too, and the Gösser at the bar was tasty. Two small things: our room was ready before check-in time, and the water from the can had subjectively incredible quality.

We had a great time. The room was quiet, the bed very comfortable, and the place was dog-friendly. There’s a sauna on site, the staff were very friendly, and everything felt clean and cozy, as if it had been renovated recently. A few things surprised us for the price, though the positives outweighed them. There was no kettle in the room, which was harder to forgive, and no mini fridge, which was easier to accept since at least there was no buzzing. Breakfast had a good selection but was the same each morning. Some foods were slow to be replenished at breakfast and dinner. A few times we had to wait a few minutes and return to the buffet for what we wanted.

The kitchen was very good and the staff helpful. Thanks for a lovely winter holiday.
