We only stayed one night while traveling from Belgium, but the place seems like it would be magical in winter, and a longer visit would be a great way to enjoy the area. Our spacious family room had wooden interiors and was spotless. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, and breakfast was generous and delicious, just right before getting back on the road. It’s a charming, cozy guesthouse with a real Alpine spirit. Highly recommended for families!

The breakfast was simple and tasty, with lots of meat ham and lovely milk for the coffee. The hotel is very old, with museum style decorations, which we liked for its rural feel. The people and service were friendly, and the bedroom was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable, though my side squeaked. In summer, bring mosquito spray. My partner and I killed more than 15 mosquitoes overnight.

Our room was spacious and had a big balcony, and the breakfast was nice with great coffee. This is a beautiful, old fashioned hotel that welcomes dogs. There was a hair dryer, hand soap, toilet paper and a small body and hair soap in the bathroom, so bring anything else you might need. Most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We only stayed one night, but would have liked to stay a few more days.

We’ve been coming to Gasthof Tell on and off for nearly 30 years. Franz and Lissi and their family always go above and beyond, and the place is cozy, friendly, and has super service. The food is wonderful, especially what I honestly think is the best Weiner Schnitzel around, and everything else from their kitchen too. Wünderbar!!

The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly the whole time. Spittal, the next bigger city, is about 15 minutes away by car, and there are beautiful lakes all around. You’ve got to love Carinthia. I’d recommend this place again and again!
