We slept better here than we had in the previous five days. The rooms are roomy, comfortable, and wonderfully quiet, with stylish, warm decor. The staff were attentive, friendly, and organized, and our son loved having lots of toys to play with. Dinner was fabulous: steak with port sauce, liver dumpling beef soup, and Sacher cake were all excellent. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and I’ve never had eggs of such high quality. Live music and an outdoor fire made the restaurant area feel especially cozy. We had a wonderful stay at Pfeiler’s Hotel & Restaurant and would gladly return. Five stars from us, and we’d recommend Pfeiler’s to anyone visiting Austria.

The Trout with risotto was wonderful, and the wiener schnitzel was the best I’ve had in a long time. Prices were excellent value, too. It was a busy Saturday lunchtime and service took a while, but we weren’t in a rush. Even with everyone run off their feet, the staff were very friendly, and we had a relaxing, lovely lunch.

The menu was in German, so I used a translator and chose the seasonal 'Kulmer' trout with roasted vegetables and pumpkin puree. Brilliant dish, and it came out very quickly. The food here is so delicious, I can’t put it into words. Highly recommended.
