Haus Heidrun had everything we needed and was very clean, with comfortable beds and a lovely garden overlooking the mountains. The hosts were very nice and helpful, and we could order a variety of fresh bread every day. We had a great time here, and Fendels is a great base for exploring the Alps.

We felt very comfortable at Haus Heidrun, and the surroundings are stunning. We found four hiking trails that start right from the house, with more further down the valley. The landlady was very friendly and gave us useful tips for excursions. Parking is available in the courtyard. Getting there means driving about 4 kilometers up from the valley on Kaunertaler Landstrasse, with an elevation gain of around 500 meters, but it was worth it. We’d love to return. Our apartment was large and fully equipped for self-catering: it had a toaster, egg cooker, coffee maker, microwave, ceramic cooktop and oven, and a fridge with a small freezer compartment. The bathroom was spacious, with a large shower and bathtub. The balcony was about one meter wide and had comfortable seating, though this apartment faced southeast and only got some morning sun. There was no washing machine, so bring enough clothes for the whole stay. There wasn’t a drying rack either, but the landlady was happy to provide one.
