The food was great, and I recommend booking half-pension so breakfast and dinner are included. The hotel is set inside a castle, with beautiful surroundings and plenty to do indoors: a swimming pool, jacuzzi pool, sauna, health center, game parlour, tavern and books, among other things.

The kids were really happy with both the food buffet and the breakfast buffet. It’s a cool place, and the staff are pleasant.

This place is a quirky rabbit warren, spread across three floors, several blocks and miles of corridors in a former castle. We loved it! Our rooms were spacious, and the staff couldn’t have been better: friendly, excellent and always happy to help. Breakfast and evening meals had a huge range of options. Sometimes our group of five had to wait for a table, but they provided free drinks while we waited. The hotel is very close to bus stops for the ski slopes, about a five minute journey. Your hotel guest card also gives you free travel on buses and trains in the area. The only downside was the very noisy extractor fan in the bathroom. It barely took away from a really enjoyable stay.

We stayed over Christmas 2024. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room was lovely, though a little tired. But there was a stale urine smell in the toilet that got worse through the week. I bought cleaning products to try to get rid of it, but they didn’t help. The pool was very cold, and the jacuzzi was inflatable. Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice and dairy alternatives including soya and oat milk. Dinner was more mixed. On the first night, we managed to get a server’s attention midway through the meal to order drinks. On Christmas Day, nobody asked if we wanted drinks. I understand they were busy, but if you have to book a time slot, you expect the food to be available. Some options weren’t ready when we asked on Christmas Day. We were told there’d be a 10 minute wait, but after 30 minutes nothing had arrived, so we gave up.
