We’ve stayed here twice, and the cosy setting and helpful host keep bringing us back. The facilities have been renovated, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook. There’s parking in front of the villa and a ski room for your gear. The road up is a bit narrow, though it was always in good condition. The Finkenberg cable car is very close, and Hintertux glacier is about a 25-minute drive away. We went to Mayrhofen each day, around 10 minutes away, since it has lots of après-ski compared with Finkenberg. A place worth considering for a nice holiday.

There are three guest bedrooms in this lovely little home, with beautiful views. Breakfast was 10/10, with plenty of good choices and a large pot of fresh coffee. It’s a little off the main road, but that wasn’t an issue with a car. Just remember, payment has to be in cash.

The hosts are really relaxed and friendly, and they live in the house themselves. I was surprised to find a place at such a high altitude run by people from Finkenberg.

The views from the rooms are superb, thanks to the guesthouse’s elevation, and this is already our second stay here. The hosts are welcoming, and she’ll help arrange ski lift cards, which come with a 10% discount when bought through her. Rooms sleep two or three and have very modern private bathrooms. There’s also a large, fully equipped kitchen for preparing food, coffee, or whatever you need. The rooms stay very warm even with the radiators off, probably because it’s a solid construction. The drive up is a winding road, but it was always cleared and cleaned. The guesthouse has a covered garage, ski storage, and a heated room for boots or slippers. We really like the place and the host’s hospitality.
