The room has a lovely atmosphere, and the food itself was good. But our service felt below standard for what they charge, and I found a hair in my food.

That local Zillertal beer on tap was great. The place has a cozy Austrian feel, and the menu suits anyone after hearty, heavy food. I found it a little hard to choose, though, since so many dishes were deep-fried. This is just about the restaurant.

The sauna area is great, and the hotel itself is lovely. There are regional dishes on the menu alongside options for everyone, and the staff are friendly and courteous. One travel detail: after 5 p.m., getting here from the Hintertuxer Gletscher means changing buses once, but only in the low season.

We never had to wait to place our order, and the service was quick. The food was delicious too. A waitress, around 50, kept smiling and joking with us in little ways; she was so kind that we really felt welcome. I'm reviewing just the restaurant.
