Our private dock came with two pedal boats, which we really enjoyed. The only annoying part at night was how much you could hear every step on the noisy wooden stairs and floor. Otherwise, we had a really nice stay in this beautiful, relaxing apartment. There were four of us for seven days, and the kitchen had everything we needed for the meals we cooked ourselves. The owner was extremely friendly, and we had no problems.

We booked a double room with breakfast for a week and were very happy with it. The guesthouse was clean and well kept, and our newly furnished room had a balcony, satellite TV, and internet. Breakfast was fresh and generous, with nothing missing. Bikes and pedal boats were free to use, and there was plenty of parking. A playground with a trampoline and other equipment sits in front of the guesthouse. The hostess was friendly and helpful, and really made an effort to give her guests a lovely stay. We’ll definitely return to Pension Erna a few more times. We’ve rarely had accommodation as wonderful as what Mrs. Steiner offers.

I see why this place gets positive reviews, but my experience in apartment No. 17 left plenty to criticize. We paid about €740 for a week for two people, plus or minus electricity and water. For those circumstances, some locals told us they’d expect to pay no more than €500. Friends of ours paid about the same around the same booking period for a larger, more modern, clean apartment in Croatia. To me, the price here was the first outrage. The advertised beach turned out to be a grassy patch about 15m x 5m, not the large lawn in the photo. There’s a shed with around 10 changing rooms and a storage room. A pedal boat can be rented for at most two hours per day per room. Back at the apartment, you get one roll of toilet paper on arrival and have to provide the rest yourself. That’s a small issue on its own, but at this price it felt outrageous. At first glance, the apartment seemed quite nice and clean, but the impression didn’t last. The corners and other spots were chronically neglected during cleaning, and the three-star license sticker on the door had been expired for years. It may have been renewed, but there was no current certificate on display. The accommodation is nice, yet the price-performance ratio is unacceptable. Everyone has to decide for themselves, but I’d suggest looking more carefully and considering the many guesthouses and hotels that aren’t listed on sites like Booking.com.
