Apart-Hotel Dreisonnenhof

This was our third visit to Dreisonnenhof, one summer trip and two winter ones, and we'll surely come again soon. The place is clean, modern, and quiet. In summer, the kids had a great time in the outdoor yard with its play equipment, made new friends, and loved it.

We started each day with fresh bread rolls and a shuttle ride to the lifts, then came back to enjoy the saunas, apartment, and restaurants in Fiss village. It was a spacious, clean, modern apartment, and the family owners were great to deal with. We're looking forward to coming back soon.

We've spent two winter seasons here and are planning to come back for a summer holiday. The location is good, with supermarkets nearby, including a recently opened large one, and the hotel runs a free taxi service to the ski slopes. The recently renovated rooms and shared areas are all new, and the SPA area and general facilities are convenient. It's a comfortable apart-hotel with friendly staff. Well done Dreisonnenhof, keep the bar just as high!

We stayed in apartment number 4, a lovely large place with two bedrooms, two single beds and one double, plus two toilets and two showers. The sitting room sofa could also be turned into a pullout bed. There was a balcony for relaxing in the evening. The apartment worked well for younger children, with a trampoline, swing, and bicycles. The bikes can only be used on the paved area at the apartment, so they're really just for small children. There's a children's room with toys too. The dishwasher was handy, but bring your own tablets, soap, and tea towels. Laundry is downstairs, at €10 a wash and €5 to dry. The sauna opens once a week, and you can book a slot. The bakery is about a 5-minute walk away. It delivers bread, and it's also open until 12 on weekends. There's a grocery store about 5 minutes downhill from the apartment, and a better one about 10 minutes further on, nearer the bike hire and bike park lift. The free bus leaves downhill from the apartment, to the left when you head out. There's loads to do in the area. Biking is popular, with a purpose-built bike park and plenty of mountain trails. In good weather, the mountain parks were great, with ziplines, mountain coasters, playgrounds, and wooden marble runs. Lots of lovely walks are accessible with the included lift pass, which was a real bonus. We also went white-water rafting for a day. Canyoning was available too, and would be appealing if it rains. Area 47 was nearby, though mostly suitable for teenagers, and Serfaus had a small indoor climbing area with a soft play space for a rainy day. We enjoyed our time in the area and would recommend staying here.
