Hotel Garni Platzergasse & Apartments Platzergasse

It felt like being at home and part of the family. The place is cozy and modern, and breakfast has a great buffet with lots of homemade things like ham and butter.

I stayed in June on my own and got a lovely double room with a balcony. The owners were very friendly, and the room, shower, and toilet were all very clean. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is quiet but right in the center, with hiking routes and ski lifts nearby. Highly recommended, TOP!

We were so satisfied with our apartment in the neighboring building that we've already booked it again for next year. We also can't relate to the negative things other guests have written. The operators were very friendly and helpful, and Mr. Schmid's tip to leave at 5 a.m. on Saturday to avoid a Fernpass traffic jam worked. There was plenty of parking, too. The apartment was well equipped, with nothing missing, and the furniture was current and comfortable. At €160 per night in high season, it seemed reasonably priced for a holiday apartment no more than a 10-minute walk from the cable cars. The online photos matched reality. There is a cowshed in the apartment building, but it hardly smells and we didn't notice any smell in the apartments. The beds were very comfortable and the bedroom was very quiet. We could hear the church bells in the evening and morning, but they didn't bother us. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils and a dishwasher. When we asked, we were also given dishwasher tablets. Breakfast was excellent, with freshly fried eggs, bacon, scrambled eggs, rolls, salmon, fresh fruit, good coffee, and surely much more than we'd make for ourselves at home. Everything was replenished right away. We can wholeheartedly recommend both Hotel Garni and Apartmenthaus Platzergasse.

We were very satisfied with our stay at Hotel Garni Platzergasse. Our group of 11 stayed for two nights of skiing at the end of March, in double rooms, single rooms, and two apartments. The rooms were spacious, modern, and just as we'd booked online, with features such as walk-in showers. Breakfast had a delicious, wide selection, and after skiing there was complimentary cake. The sauna and infrared cabin were great for relaxing. I'd been a little worried by the negative reviews, so I called ahead to check that we'd get the modern rooms we booked. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and suggested restaurants. The owner's wife was especially helpful, though in our view she talked a bit too much and kept trying to convince us to rent a ski storage unit, which we didn't want. It wasn't a real inconvenience, though.
