Aparthotel am Reitecksee

The staff were exceptionally helpful when our car had problems. They arranged new spare parts, helped install them, and even offered to drive us themselves. The rooms were large, with everything we needed, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. We’ve stayed in Flachau several times, and while the apartments here are generally nice, Aparthotel am Reitecksee was better than any of our previous stays.

The view from our room was like a postcard or a Windows screensaver. It’s a family-run hotel with kind people, and breakfast was very good. Free parking and internet are available.

We were a couple with two children, and the apartment was on the second floor with no elevator, so we had to carry our own luggage. It was old and neglected, and not fit to stay in. Some taps fell apart while we were showering, and the tubs and toilets looked like they were from the 1960s. We had to ask the owners for everything, including dish soap, rags, and towels. They weren’t generous or pleasant, and when we asked for things, the response was basically, "That's what is there." The garden games for the children were old and poorly maintained. We’d paid for several nights in advance and got no refund, but left after one night for somewhere that knew how to respect its guests. Don’t go near this place.

We weren’t hotel guests, just waiting across the road at the bus stop when the ski bus didn’t show up. The boss drove us to the gondola in her own car and contacted the bus company right away.
