Hotel Felsenhof

The spacious rooms were pleasant, each with a balcony, table, chairs, and even a clothesline. We found the staff kind and attentive, and both the outdoor parking and underground garage were well organized. The dining room food was varied and changed daily. For families, there are two playrooms suited to different ages, open all day with plenty of different games. Kids can also join changing daily activities without their parents, with the program planned a week ahead. My children especially enjoyed the lovely outdoor playground. There are thoughtful touches for little ones, including a baby sterilizer and Gerber baby food. We stayed at the hotel and found it lovely and well suited to families with young children.

The outdoor pool is huge and the view is amazing. After playing and sledging in the snow, the ski lockers were really handy. We stayed five nights with our 5 year old and had so much fun. The food was exceptionally good, and the kids buffet and restaurant playground meant our son could play with other children while we finally enjoyed a quiet meal. Our room was big and comfortable. I’d 100% recommend booking a holiday here :)

The only thing I’d change is the signage and labels in English for people who don’t speak German, especially at the buffet. Everything else made for an amazing family holiday: the location couldn’t be better, the rooms were comfortable, the food was really good, and the amenities were amazing. The service was ten out of ten, and every detail seemed carefully considered for families, for both adults and kids. Thanks to everyone at Hotel Felsenhof for making our holiday so great!

We stayed in Haus Antonia, which was spacious and convenient, though the living room sofa wasn’t comfortable and it lacked decorations that would make it feel more homely. The room also got too hot during our spring visit, just as the hotel had reopened for summer, but the staff dealt with that well. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern, with lots of details that work well for families with young children. There are assigned family tables in the restaurants with high chairs already set out, indoor play spaces, childcare, open play areas, and a large outdoor playground. Bike rentals and a farm visit are available too. Unless you need the extra space, I’d suggest staying in the main building. Its location makes it especially appealing for a winter holiday.
