Kinder-Bauernhof Ederbauer

The Mediterana apartment was so cozy, with a lovely bathroom, bedrooms like a charming hobbit hole, and a rustic feel balanced with comfort. The infrared sauna was my constant companion all holiday, and the kitchen had everything we could need. The view was amazing. We could let our children, aged 8 and 6, play freely on the farm, where they made friends right away. There was always something to discover, from cats, cows, ducks, horses, and an adorable pig to jumping into hay in the loft and helping in the barn. They even got to ride along on the tractor and see farm life up close. The meadow in front seemed endless, as did the opportunities for the kids. I still feel joyful remembering watching them play with other children from the balcony, with the beautiful mountain landscape beyond. The surroundings were incredibly beautiful, and the Winter family, including Lois, Lisi, and all the other lovely people, made us feel so welcome. Our first holiday at Ederbauer farm was one of our best ever, and surely won't be our last. We're still speechless, in the best way. A heartfelt thank you to the Winter family. The farm's fantastic location and the warmth of the whole Winter family made our week wonderful. It lived up to everything we hoped for from a farm holiday. Everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, could help with daily chores like mucking out, feeding, and milking. The children also jumped into the hay from the loft, rode ponies, and went along with Alois on the tractor. Alois and Lisi are lovely people, and we're sure to come back next year.

The farm sits on a hill with beautiful views over Altenmarkt and the Dachstein. The Winter family are friendly owners who arrange activities for guests, and I highly recommend staying there. You can use alpine huts for gatherings, and there's a ski room with a boot dryer. They also take orders for bread rolls, eggs, and milk. Parking in the garage means no clearing snow or scraping windows in the morning.

Snow in September made the weather less than ideal, but we still had a wonderful week. Lois and Lisi were warm, friendly hosts, and made us feel at home straight away. The farm is in a great location, and each morning we went on an outing before spending the afternoon relaxing there. Lois always had useful activity tips. The apartment had a perfectly equipped kitchen and a sauna, and from the second day we were allowed to take full responsibility for caring for and feeding the animals. That was fantastic.
